Our most recent restaurant reviews…

The Ivy Marlow Garden

The town beside the Thames continues to step up to its title of the region’s foodie capital with this latest addition to the ‘menu’.

The Botanist

Prepare for hidden treasures and that a gorgeous décor is somehow outshone by dishes arriving at the table.

The Mash Inn Radnage

Jan Raycroft and Maureen McLean stop for lunch and discover mackerel the equal of anything rustled up beachside, straight from the sea.

The Chequers

A visit to The Chequers gives editor Jan Raycroft a few flashbacks and an entertaining encounter with a ‘celebrity chef’.

Brasserie Blanc

The celebrated chef has opened a new brasserie at Beaconsfield. Jan Raycroft and Maureen McLean met him as the first diners fell for the French charm.

Giggling Squid

The arrival of Giggling Squid restaurant in Marlow with its highly successful ‘Thai Tapas’ concept was always going to provide a talking point in a town that deserves its growing reputation as a ‘must visit’ food destination.

The Cross Keys

There’s much to enjoy in and around Great Missenden and The Cross Keys will help make your visit memorable.

The Grouse & Ale

When we walked into the warm and welcoming Grouse & Ale it was instantly clear that this is a thriving hostelry. The clientele, a good mix of residents enjoying their local pub, and visitors like us seeking a decent lunch, were equalled by a crowd of dapper gents in suits.
