Easter fun at Ashridge Estate

Annual Easter Egg trail in National Trust grounds

The annual Easter Egg Trail at the National Trust Ashridge Estate on the Buckinghamshire and Hertfordshire border sees egg hunters follow their maps through the woodland, answering questions along the way to win a chocolate reward. This year the theme of the trail is Ashridge through the year.

The Easter Egg Trail events take place on Friday 29th, Saturday 30th, Sunday 31st March and Monday 1st April 2013, 10am – 4pm. No need to book, just turn up. The cost is £2.50 per child.

Cadbury and the National Trust Ashridge Estate are teaming up again to add a magical twist to the traditional family Easter egg hunt over the 2013 Easter Weekend. There are extra fun activities on Sunday and Monday provided by Cadbury. The fun and games will range from Easter Egg Trails and face painting through to more interactive children’s entertainers and outdoor games such as ‘nest ball’. Don’t forget to bring along your spoons on Easter Monday to take part in our Egg and Spoon Races - one held on the hour every hour, with prizes to be won!

All participants will also get to take part in the ‘Design your own Egghead’ competition: the hunt for talented youngsters to help design the next generation of Cadbury Eggheads. The winner could see their design in shops in 2014.

Visitors can also climb the Bridgewater Monument for a small fee and browse in our National Trust shop, a great day out for all the family.
