Windsor mother Melanie Gow celebrated the launch of her book, Toasters Don't Roast Chickens, at the Harte & Garter Hotel in Windsor.

The book tells the story of her fight to save her young son Ben, who suffered from multiple allergies, from a life of misery and dependence on prescription drugs.

Ben is now a healthy 10-year-old and, together with his brother Harry, aged eight, he helped his mother launch her book. Over 200 guests listened to a moving presentation at the champagne reception.
