The RT Hon Theresa May, MP for Maidenhead and Home Secretary has opened The Jacoby Studios, a superb new drama centre with fully equipped theatre at Desborough College in Maidenhead.

The new facility is named after Dr Dan Jacoby, a governor who has worked tirelessly in support of the students and school.

Principal Paul Frazer said: “We’re very proud to be opening this fabulous new building, a truly energy efficient structure. It will provide our students with an enviable facility which will not only support our already outstanding drama teaching but also enable us to give our students the opportunity of being taught in a lecture theatre environment. We’re grateful to The Education Fellowship and builders and contractors at Net Zero Buildings for providing us with these tremendous facilities.”

Desborough College became an Education Fellowship Academy in 2012. There are 427 boys in school years 7-11 and 187 pupils in its co-educational Sixth Form.
