L'ortolan retains a coveted star in the Michelin Guide for 2012, remaining Reading's only Michelin starred restaurant
For the tenth consecutive year Lortolan has been awarded a Michelin Star. This ranks Lortolan amongst the countrys most exceptional restaurants selected for inclusion in the highly regarded Michelin Guide.
On hearing the announcement, proprietor , Peter Newman said Its great news that Lortolan has been awarded a Michelin star and an outstanding achievement by Alan Murchison and his team who deliver a consistently superb quality of food and service year after year.
Executive Chef, Alan Murchison , was delighted I am very proud that again Michelin have recognised the quality, hard work and huge effort that the team have put in at Lortolan. Well done to everyone and keep on pushing!
Lortolan is located in Shinfield, on the outskirts of Reading in an elegant former vicarage. The menus crafted by Executive Chef Alan Murchison are in a modern French style using the best seasonal produce available.
