Sit among the Christmas lights at Newbury Racecourse's special festive event, 'Christmas under the Stars'. Get the celebrations started with a glass of Champagne, then enjoy a delicious three-course meal. Prices start from £60 per person.
Sparkle at Squires
Until 23 December, mix present-buying with pleasure at Squire's Garden Centres throughout December as they will be serving up a Christmas lunch every day from midday to 3pm. Choose from two or three courses with a choice of starter and mains, then finish with a slice of popping Prosecco fizz cheesecake. Prices are £16.95 for two courses or £19.95 for three.
Festive fine dining
Cornish sole, game terrine, beef fillet and Christmas pudding are just a taste of what's on the fine-dining Christmas Day menu at The Vineyard at Stockcross. Arrive in style and enjoy Champagne and canapés before taking your seat at the table. There's the option of having your wine paired and included in the price at £220 per person.
A festive party should have a theme and Stoke Park have gone all out this year with Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. They will be transforming the Palladian Mansion into the wondrous world Roald Dahl created. Party dates are 5th, 7th, 12th and 14th December. For £95 per person you receive a reception drink, three courses, half a bottle of wine, the chance to strut your stuff on the dance floor and win at the casino.
Christmas at Cliveden
Christmas Day lunch, Boxing Day dinner, Sunday lunch, Christmas Eve dinner… whatever December day of the week, Cliveden House has it catered for. Lunch on the big day costs £125 per person, which includes fizz and three courses. They're also hosting a carol concert and dinner with The Queen's Six on 20 December.
The Castle Hotel has its own menu of festive events this December. Take your colleagues for a festive party, enjoy lunch in the Marco Pierre White bar and grill or book your table for Christmas Day lunch. It's £85 per adult, but if you all want to enjoy a few sherries on the day, you can book the festive residential package for £299 per person.
Lunch or dinner in front of the roaring log fire at The Crown at Bray promises to be a cosy affair, but a gastronomic delight too, with dishes like Windsor Estate roast confit mallard and roast monkfish on the bone. You must also try their Christmas cocktails, like the Sipsmith hot gingerbread gin and tonic.
Climb aboard for a Christmas cruise along the Thames with the Windsor and Maidenhead Boat Company. A glass of mulled wine awaits you as well as festive music and some historical anecdotes from the skipper along the way. Your traditional festive feast costs just £31 per person.
Catch a Michelin star
Lunch or dinner at the Michelin starred L'Ortolan near Reading will certainly get the festive season started. Head chef Tom Clarke and his team will be putting together three-course lunches (£45) and a six-course dinner (£59) in the Main Restaurant from the 3-19 December.
If you want your very own private party then The Royal Oak in Yattendon has something extra special to offer. Their Feast Menu includes a whole roast sucking pig, a 12-hour slow roast shoulder of lamb and roast rib of beef. All served on big boards, bowls and platters in the middle of the table.
