CBBC’s Blue Peter presenters Radzi Chinyanganya and Lindsey Russell will be taking part in Royal Windsor Horse Show on Saturday, 17 May.

Radzi (26) and Lindsey (23) are the two newest members of the Blue Peter presenting team and the pair have already got themselves a reputation for being fiercely competitive with the challenges they’ve been set on the show. While not actually competing in the event itself, the pair have been invited to compete against each other on the famous Carriage Driving Marathon course used for the Land Rover International Driving Grand Prix at Royal Windsor Horse Show.

Former Carriage Driving World Gold medallist Wilf Bowman Ripley and his GB teammate, Dan Naprous who is also a horse stunt rider and film star are the instructors charged with knocking Radzi and Lindsey into shape for the challenge.

Royal Windsor Horse Show Director, Simon Brooks Ward said: “The Carriage Driving Marathon is an amazing spectacle and is one of the highlights of Royal Windsor Horse Show. The sport of Carriage Driving requires a combination of precision, skill and true horsemanship. Radzi and Lindsey will be attempting the same obstacles that the professionals will be facing and so they need to come prepared!”

Radzi and Lindsey will take to the track at approximately 4.30pm straight after the Marathon phase of the Carriage Driving competition on Saturday, 17 May.

Speaking ahead of his latest challenge, Blue Peter presenter, Radzi said: “I’ve been involved in many challenges during my time presenting Wild and since I’ve joined Blue Peter but this one is truly unique and we’re both really excited to be competing in front of the crowds at Royal Windsor Horse Show.”

Fellow Blue Peter presenter Lindsey, added: “There’s definitely been a friendly rivalry developing between myself and Radzi since he joined Blue Peter, and I reckon so far ‘team Lindsey’ is well ahead! Radzi’s training has been going well but I think when it comes to the big event itself I can see me putting further daylight between us in our personal head-to-head challenge!”
