Claire Filer joins Buckinghamshire team from top London law firm

High-flying family lawyer Claire Filer has joined Buckinghamshire law firm B P Collins from London law firm Mishcon de Reya.

The move brings the number of family lawyers within B P Collins up to seven, making it one of the largest dedicated family legal teams in the Thames Valley.

Claire has just been named a 'Rising Star' in the Super Lawyers London online listing and has already made a name for herself with articles in The Lawyer and Resolution magazine.

Family law partner Sue Andrews said: We are delighted to welcome someone of Claires calibre to the team. Her knowledge of family law adds even greater depth to our existing expertise, and we know that clients will benefit from her insight, experience and ability to handle very complex cases.

Claire, who has joined as an associate lawyer, has experience in both private client and family law. She said: Im thrilled to be joining B P Collins, this is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a talented team with a very good reputation in the field of family law.

Claire deals with a wide range of family matters following relationship breakdown involving divorce, dissolution of civil partnerships, and child-centred disputes revolving around contact and residence applications as well as relocation overseas. She also advises in complex and high-net worth financial disputes, specialising in cases involving trusts.

She qualified as a solicitor in 2004, having graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in History and completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Law and Legal Practice Course at the College of Law, in which she achieved a distinction.

Claire is a member of Resolution and has also completed the STEP (Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) Diploma to complement her family work.
