The date is now firmly fixed! On Thursday 29 May, the Aylesbury College Trust (ACT) charity is hosting a corporate lunch with Formula 1 racing driver Mark Webber, in the British Racing Drivers Clubhouse at Silverstone.

ACT was set up last year to help young people with financial need to develop their skills and their education. Funds raised from the event will be used to assist young people in accessing education.

Karen Mitchell, Principal of Aylesbury College said: “It is hugely important to ensure additional financial support for those young people in education who are trying to overcome difficulties, but who, with the right encouragement and assistance, can go on to achieve great things.”

At the same time, taking place on the Silverstone track, teams from Aylesbury College, Amersham and Wycombe College, and Buckinghamshire New University, will compete in The Mark Webber Youth Challenge. The teams will compete in a series of endurance activities and challenges with an emphasis on fun and teamwork.
