Aida and Radames

Archant

Celebrated opera director and producer, Ellen Kent is bringing three incredible productions to the Theatre Royal in April, featuring a 29 piece orchestra.

Aida - Monday 28 April

A stunning, traditional brand new production of this magnificent story of war, jealousy and revenge, at whose heart is the doomed love of the beautiful Ethiopian slave girl, Aida, and the Egyptian hero, Radames.

Nabucco - Tuesday 29 April

Verdi’s haunting and melodic chorus of the Hebrew slaves follows the plight of the Hebrews as they are forced from their homeland into exile by the Babylonian King Nabucco

La Bohème - Wednesday 30 April

The tragic tale of the doomed, consumptive Mimi and her love for a penniless writer. Puccini’s classic captures the Bohemian spirit of the period, featuring colourful carnival scenes and gypsy dancers, all accompanied by a local brass band.
