The Chiltern Camerata returns after its Summer break for the orchestra’s 19th season of concerts in Amersham on Sunday, 19 October at 7pm. The venue is one of their favourites: Amersham Free Church, Woodside Road, Amersham. HP6 6AJ.

Conducted by Sam Laughton, they will be performing a programme including:

• J S Bach - Brandenburg Concerto No. 3

• Schumann (arr) Träumerei

• Mendelssohn - Sinfonia No. 12

• Richard Strauss - Metamorphosen


Rehearsals have started and the players have been bowled over by the exuberance of the young Mendelssohn’s Sinfonia No 12, the gravitas and high emotion of ‘Metamorphosen’ and the timeless mastery of the Brandenburg Concerto.
