Warren Clarke, Dalziel and Pascoe star, and Dennis Waterman, New Tricks star, who both live in Buckinghamshire, are hosting a celebrity golf day in aid of Helen & Douglas House on Friday, 12 September at Bicester Hotel, Golf and Spa.

This is the ideal opportunity to celebrate an important birthday, entertain clients, bond with colleagues or relax with friends whilst supporting this great local charity.

At ‘The Clarke Waterman Celebrity Golf Day’ each team of three will be joined by one of Warren and Dennis’s celebrity guests on a fantastic Par 71 course at Bicester. This course offers many great challenges and is conveniently located near to junction 9 of the M40. Non-golfers can also enjoy the day and come and pamper themselves at Bicester’s exclusive Spa and enjoy some retail therapy at the nearby award winning Bicester Village.

An exciting evening is also planned with a dinner, great evening entertainment, from Paul Bacon, an Elton John tribute, an auction and presentations to the winning teams.

Warren Clarke says: “Last year we raised £20,000, which we hope to exceed this year. This celebrity golf day is great fun and will be raising money for a great local charity. I have visited Helen & Douglas House and was very touched by the amazing work they do to support families with children and young adults with life- shortening conditions in Buckinghamshire and the surrounding areas.”

Janet Carruzzo, Community Fundraiser at Helen & Douglas House said “We are delighted that this celebrity golf day is being held in aid of Helen & Douglas House. The money raised at this event will help us provide vital respite breaks, end of life care and post bereavement support for local families. We have to raise over 85% of the £5 million a year we need to run the two hospice houses, via voluntary donations. This means that we are reliant on money raised through events like this as well as donations from individuals, corporates and community groups and schools.”
