More than 20000 people enjoyed the sunshine, champagne and polo at the final Cartier International Polo at Guards Polo Club.

It was glamour and glitz all the way as the celebrities enjoyed a three course lunch provided by chef Anton Mosimann.

Polo fan Jilly Cooper OBE enjoyed her day. Doubtless many of you will remember reading her many raunchy Polo novels with characters including Rupert Campbell-Black!

Model Christie Brinkley stole the show as she posed for photographs.

Brazil team captain Jose Eduardo Kalil said "England played better this afternoon." Polo fans would doubtless agree with his love for Guards Polo. He said "This is the best place in the world, the most beautiful club and the best polo."

The day didn't finish with the polo. The partying continued in the Chinawhite's marquee.

The evening concluded with a wonderful memorial to the Clubs late Chief Executive, Charlie Stisted, when 40 Chinese lanterns were lit in his memory on The Queens Ground.

Christie has been appearing as Roxie in the Broadway version of musical Chicago and looked a picture in her purple dress.

Some of the world's top polo players wowed the crowds with their polo skills. The Coronation Cup final was a thrilling match with England beating Brazil 8-7. Captain Luke Tomlinson beamed as he was presented with the Coronation Cup by HRH Prince Philip on behalf of the England team.
