Welford Park Snowdrop Walk

Take your date on the snowdrop walk around the Beech Woods at Welford Park and enjoy the amazing sight and scent of the carpet of snowdrops. There are also paths along the River Lambourn that you can take. Afterwards, you can talk over a cup of tea in The Old Laundry Tearoom and Heated Marquee. And don’t leave without taking a detour through the gift sop, where everything features a snowdrop!

An Introduction to Jewellery Making at Norden Farm

How about making your Valentine a piece of jewellery? Now that would be a lovely gift. Learn the fundamentals of jewellery making and design, including mark making and stone setting on this course at Norden Farm Centre for the Arts in Maidenhead. 14 February−14 March 2019, 10am−11.30pm and 12pm−1.30pm, £63 for a five-week course.


Discover the Art of Chocolatiering at Rosie’s Chocolate Factory

Indulge your loved one in the art of chocolate making at Rosie’s Chocolate Factory in Wargrave. Their chocolate-making workshops run all day, every day, including evenings and weekends. During the workshop each participant will make three large chocolate bars, with inclusions of their choice, as well as a chocolate lollipop that features edible transfers. £25 per person.


Woo Them With Words at a Poetry Slam

Impress your date − and the judges − in this poetry competition. Competing poets have three minutes to deliver one poem in each round. The ‘Dreading Slam’ is free to take part in, and free to watch. It takes place at The Global Café, in the RISC building, 35-39 London Street, Reading, RG1 4PS. Slam events take place on the first Sunday of each month; starting at 7:30pm.


Carriage Ride in Windsor Great Park
