If you've thrown a children's party lately you may have had a twinge of conscience -all those plates, cups and napkins that simply disappear into black bags!...
But Windsor businesswoman Lucy Brindley has come up with a great idea so that you can have fun and help save the planet at the same time.
Says Lucy: "After attending a few children's birthday parties last year I was shocked to see how much waste was generated - the children's party market is currently an 'eco-disaster area' creating lots of nasty, plastic, throwaway rubbish for the landfill. I looked into eco-friendly alternatives but soon discovered that sourcing eco-friendly party products was very difficult and almost impossible for busy mums.
So after eight months of research and tracking down items like natural beeswax birthday candles and 100% recycled FSC certified party invites and gift wrap printed in vegetable inks Lucy launched her new website which made it easy for mums to throw eco-friendly children's parties.
