Inspirational women at Henley

Guests at the Women of Achievement Awards gala ceremony heard some truly inspirational nominees' stories.
Guests at the Women of Achievement Awards gala ceremony, orgsnised by Sue Ryder Care Nettlebed Hospice, held at Phyllis Court Club at Henley, heard some truly inspirational nominees stories. Elaine Louks from Sonning Common won the Overall Lifetime Achievement category for fostering 70 babies in the last 20 years.
The newly-created Arts Category, sponsored by Peter Green, went to Sue Ledger of Wallingford for founding the Wallingford Childrens Choir and later on the Wallingford Singers.Liza Upton, Event Fundraiser, said: "There was a wonderful atmosphere and the evening was a great success. People were moved to tears after hearing the stories of all the fabulous nominees.
