About the photographer

Peter Meade lives in Maidenhead with his wife Karen, their daughter is taking A levels and their son is at university.

Peter has a background in scientific research and is a freelance science writer and sports photographer, with a particular interest in cricket and polo. Peter also photographs equestrian events, commercial commissions and his enduring fascination with Cliveden Reach. Peter’s recommendation for a good place to eat is the Jolly Farmer in Cookham Dean and for a good day out is any time spent at Lord’s Cricket Ground.

About the photographer

Kieron Sumner was born and brought up in the Thames Valley, having lived in Eton Wick and Windsor growing up, and more recently Maidenhead and Burnham. He’s married with four children and says: “I have always been the guy with the camera on holidays, parties, weddings and now at work. I have a passion for natural history, but my photography has no particular focus (please excuse the pun). Am I a bit of a nerd with my camera? I guess so, but I think that the camera has naturally taken the place of my sporting interests which apart from the gym are now restricted to watching.”
