Two popular local authors are teaming up for a joint book signing in Reading to launch their new books coming out this month. Both have written stories about physical and emotional journeys by young women but one is set in this country and the other takes place in Australia.
Tania Crosse is well known to her readers for her romantic dramas set on Dartmoor in Victorian times but they will find her new paperback, Lilys Journey, is a departure for her. Although it still features Dartmoor to which Lily is forced to travel from the bright lights of London, it is set in the 1950s at the time of the Korean War. Lilys Journey, published by Allison and Busby, tells how Lily gradually pieces together her family background and discovers her true identity.
Tanias companion for the signing will be Janet Gover, an Australian now living in England who writes contemporary womens fiction set mainly in the outback of her homeland. Girl Racers, her third book for publisher Little Black Dress tells of two young women who form a team to compete in a 1300 kilometre car rally through the spectacular Snowy Mountains. The book follows not just the race but also the turbulent emotions it creates for the two women.
Tania and Janet will be signing their books at Waterstones in the Oracle on Saturday 24th July from 11am to 1pm.
