It may have been the town's first, but Henley Literary Festival broke an 'all time record' for the number of tickets sold at an inaugural festival with 5,000 seats sold.

Audiences were impressed by, among many others, General Sir Mike Jackson, former BBC war correspondent Martin Bell, adventurer David Hempleman Adams and Craig Brown and Eleanor Bron - not to mention Henley's very own MP Boris Johnson.
