The Big Draw 2007, a nationwide celebration of drawing, at over 1,300 events - ranging from rocket science and evolutionary biology through to Mange art and the world's largest collage - will take place across the country throughout October...
It's the UK's biggest annual free celebration of visual art and is run by the Campaign for Drawing, whose mission is to remove the phrase 'I can't draw' from everyday usage, get everyone drawing and prove that drawing is a key to understanding and knowledge. One of the biggest events is being held at The River and Rowing Museum in Henley.
The Longest River of Drawing is taking place on Saturday October 13, 10am -5pm and all ages are welcome.
This is your chance to take part in a nation-wide event and have a go at drawing in the Thames Gallery on the 'longest river of drawing'. Everybody has experience of drawing and you can take inspiration from the Museum's collection of boats and add your imagination! All drawing materials provided.
There are also events in Aylesbury, Bracknell, High Wycombe, Maidenhead, Newbury, Reading and Windsor. For more information visit www.thebigdraw.org
