Aylesbury College's Hospitality and Catering students were thrilled to carry out work experience at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff at the recent Wales vs Scotland Six Nations rugby match.
Students on College’s Level 1 catering course worked in the concourse food outlets, preparing food for the sellers, providing over 1,000 hot dogs, 1,000 pies and pasties, jacket potatoes, cheese nachos and the stadium’s famous Dragon Dog!
The more experienced Level 2 and 3 catering students worked in the corporate boxes serving hundreds of three course meals. One lucky student, Katarzyna Kuz, age 18, helped serve the Royal Box, which was occupied by Princess Anne. She said: “What a great experience! It’s not every day you get the chance to cater for a member of the Royal Family. We all really enjoyed the day.”
All the students gained valuable work experience, and the stadium’s Catering Manager praised everyone for their effort, thanking staff and students wholeheartedly for what they achieved.
