Get your knife and fork ready as Eden Shopping Centre’s annual Food Fair returns on Saturday 2 July, with a line-up of top chefs, a delicious farmers’ market and your chance to be crowned The Big Bucks Bake Off winner 2016.

Eden, High Wycombe’s annual Food Fair is back for 2016, and bigger than ever! This year’s star act is Nadiya Hussain, who shot to fame in BBC smash hit The Great British Bake Off. With her trademark wit and self-deprecating humour, Nadiya firmly established herself as Britain’s newest national treasure and this year was given the honour of being selected to bake the Queen’s 90th birthday cake. Nadiya will be sharing her baking tips and performing cooking demonstrations live on stage, outside Starbucks.

Also appearing live on stage is Ivor Peters, otherwise known as ‘The Urban Rajah’, a food writer, cook, traveller and adventurer with roots deep in the Indian Subcontinent. Throughout the day, head chefs from Eden’s favourite eateries will also be cooking up tasty treats for customers to try.

Shoppers can also sample delicious delights from Eden’s eateries and stock up on local produce at the bustling Farmers’ Market, which is back and bigger than ever for 2016 with a host of local artisan producers. Featured businesses appearing at the Food Fair include Auberge du Chocolat, a unique family business established in 2005 by Anne and Ian Scott in Gerrards Cross, Bucks; also taking part is Lymn Bank Farm, a family run business who say, “We pride ourselves in handcrafting quality cheeses. We understand that to create a new cheese takes time and patience, sometimes taking two years of nurturing to develop. This highlights our dedication to detail which ensures their unique textures and tastes.”

There’s plenty on offer for the little foodies with free children’s workshops including Yo Sushi’s sushi-making school, chef hat decorating and face painting, all at Kids Corner.

Niamh Crowley, Marketing Manager at Eden, High Wycombe, commented: “Our annual food fair is established as of the highlights of High Wycombe’s calendar, and this year we’re really looking forward to welcoming Nadiya Hussain as our guest of honour. Nadiya was such a popular winner of The Great British Bake Off last year that we can’t wait to meet her and see some of her amazing culinary creations in person!

“You can catch Nadiya, Ivor Peters and head chefs from our restaurants cooking up a storm at the live cookery theatre outside Starbucks throughout the day.

“We’re also excited to choose the winner of the Big Bucks Bake Off 2016, which will be announced by Nadiya during the festival. We’re currently still accepting entries (the competition closes on 24th June) and the standard this year is looking incredible. Nadiya and the rest of the panel are in for a treat! We’ll be selling slices of the shortlisted cakes in aid of Wycombe Homeless Connection throughout the day.”
