Do you know a group or organisation that is working to improve lives in their community in South Bucks, Aylesbury or Wycombe?
Nominations are now open for South Bucks law firm B P Collins’ charity fund. It is managed by Heart of Bucks and aims to support local charities and community projects which fit in with the CSR values of the firm, whilst delivering social impact to local communities.
The awards, which will range from £500 to £2,000, are centred on three main themes - building stronger communities, providing better futures and helping create safer lives. As long as the organisation nominated fits one of these themes there are no restrictions on what the award can be used towards. It may be for general costs, purchasing equipment or to support a community project.
Simon Deans, Partner, B P Collins and Heart of Bucks’ trustee added:
“B P Collins has had a charitable fund with the Heart of Bucks since 2015, but this is the first time we are opening up the fund to nominations to empower local organisations and charities to have a chance to secure financial aid.
“In the past we have helped with the development of a state of the art children’s playground in Chesham and donated to a Women’s Refuge centre in Wycombe – causes which don’t grab the headlines but make such a vital and - at times - life-saving contribution to the local community. Our law firm is passionate about helping those in need in Bucks and the nominations system is tangible way of doing that.”
Those shortlisted will be invited to give a short presentation to staff at B P Collins in Gerrards Cross, who will then for vote for their favourite charity. The winners not only receive a financial award but may also have the opportunity to access volunteers or specialist legal advice and support.
For more information and to nominate please visit heartofbucks.org or bpcollins.co.uk and go to its CSR section, which will direct you to the nomination page. The closing date for nominations is midnight on 31st October 2016.
