Bellway Homes is looking for budding bakers in Sunninghill to donate a cake and take part in Macmillan’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ at its Claremont development in Sunninghill.

The event will be held at 10.30am on the 26 September at the new homes development and Bellway will double the proceeds raised on the day for this worthwhile charity.

Local businesses already signed up to supply a cake include Waitrose in Sunningdale. The branch comments: “Waitrose Sunningdale is always happy to support the local community. We hope that the Bellway Macmillan Coffee Morning goes well and there is a big turnout to sample some of the delicious cakes.”

Pink & Brown, a local card and gift boutique in Sunninghill High Street owned by Caroline Andrews is also donating a cake for the coffee morning: “This coffee morning event is a particularly worthwhile cause as the Macmillan nurses are a vital part of the support network for those touched by cancer. We wish Bellway Homes every success with their fundraising efforts on the day.”

Other businesses in Sunninghill keen to get involved and will be donating homemade cakes include Jason Charles Jewellery, the established independent jewellers, floristry The Little Flowerpot and The Dolls House London, a hair and beauty salon.

Zoe Dobbs, sales manager of Bellway Homes North London says: “We’re looking forward to taking part in Macmillan’s ‘World’s Biggest Coffee Morning’ for the first time this year in our new show home. We’d like everyone in Sunningdale and Sunninghill to get involved, and raise as much money as we can. It’s also a great excuse for everyone to do some baking and bring it along, or just to turn up to buy a slice of cake for charity. We’d also like to thank in advance all the local businesses who are donating cakes to our coffee morning, we look forward to sampling them!”
