Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, attended this event on the opening day of the flat season, in aid of the local charity of which he is patron, The Prince Philip Trust Fund for the Royal Borough.

The fund improves the lives of both individuals and voluntary groups by supporting opportunities in education, local welfare, appreciation of the fine arts, literature, science and excellence in sports participation.

The event was organised by The Trustees in association with the Rotary Club of Windsor & Eton and included a champagne reception, lunch and afternoon tea.
