AbbeyBucks Bunnies all set for Sunday, 22 June in High Wycombe

Energetic staff at Buckinghamshire New University and Missenden Abbey Conference Centre will be putting their best feet forward in the Cancer Research UK Race for Life in High Wycombe on Sunday, 22 June.

The team, called AbbeyBucks Bunnies, will join fundraisers in the annual five-kilometre run on The Rye, High Wycombe, at 11am on 22 June, and are hoping to raise up to £1,000.

The team from Missenden Abbey Conference Centre, in London Road, Great Missenden, is made up of General Manager Eva Neupauer-Jones and staff members Julie Rushworth, Katie Shrives, Suze Ward and Laura Young.

From Bucks New University, the team comprises students Lara Boocock and Zoe Robertson, who study BA (Hons) Dance and Fitness and work in the University’s Gateway GYM, and Customer Service Advisor Laura Willey.

The team has already raised almost £600 through initiatives including cake and gift stalls and donations to a Just Giving page.

Laura Willey says: “We are all looking forward to taking part and raising as much money as we can for Cancer Research UK. It’s a fantastic cause and it will be great to be part of such an inspiring event.”

The team can be sponsored at www.justgiving.com/abbeybucks-bunnies.
