David Cameron a big fan of Buckmoorend Farm Shop

We all need a corner shop, lamenting the lost ones. But Prime Minister David Cameron makes good use of his, the new farm shop at Buckmoorend on The Chequers Estate in Buckinghamshire.
Owners Stephanie and Daniel Hares were delighted to welcome him there during a visit which saw the PM in raptures over some goat’s cheese.
Daniel explains: “We have supplied Chequers with meat for a while now and Mr Cameron has always admired the quality. He really appreciates the provenance.”
The Prime Minister took great interest in the other local produce too. He thought a new range of goat’s cheese was ‘outstanding’ and chatted about the importance of local farming and agriculture. Stephanie is happy to welcome the rest of us: “Don’t worry - every customer who passes through our doors is equally important to us. There’s no favouritism here! We’re thrilled he loves it though, so do please come out and visit us too and see what all the fuss is about.”
At Buckmoorend you can buy high quality beef, lamb and pork home reared, fresh and local straight from the farm where animals graze on rich pastures designated as habitats of special scientific interest.
This is a proper farm shop where ‘local produce’ means exactly that: sweet and savoury biscuits from Just Biscuits in Stoke Mandeville, salami and chorizo from The Merry Pig in Wendover, premium quality Greek style and low fat yogurts from Tims Dairy in Chalfont St. Peter, cheese, mustard & hop pickled onions from The Chiltern Brewery in Terrick, St George’s Gelato Ice Creams of Haddenham, goat’s cheeses from Norton & Yarrow and fresh organic vegetables from Sandy Lane Farm, Tiddington.
