We just knew these chocolate bars would be popular!

We just knew these chocolate bars would be popular!

Roses, chocolates and loo rolls!

Fairtrade goods were on display in the Co-op Store, The Broadway, Thatcham, and Tricia Davies, Vice Chairman of the Co-operative Regional Board was on hand to talk to visitors of all ages to the store. The young people attending Thatcham schools demonstrated very impressive knowledge as they completed the Fairtrade quiz to win bars of chocolate donated by the store.

Members of the Fairtrade Town Campaign have spent time in all the local schools over the last three years talking to pupils and for many of them, Fairtrade is now a topic on the curriculum and in assemblies each annual Fairtrade Fortnight as well as at other times of the year.

On Sunday, animal face painting, yet more chocolate tasting, and craft activities to reinforce the Fairtrade message were all part of the fun at the Nature Discovery Centre, Muddy Lane, Thatcham. The Lakeside Cafe Manager had baked special muffins and chocolate cake with as many Fairtrade ingredients as she could find to celebrate the occasion and the results were extremely popular!
