Honest Mum Vicki Psarias: My MUMBOSS tour, awards, holidays and more

This past month has been a heady mix of MUMBOSS book tour dates in both Belfast and York (I lost my voice and heels in a taxi, which is always a sign of a successful event, right?), plus entertaining the kids during the holidays (thank goodness the sun came out to play in Windsor so the children could too).
Meeting hundreds of like-minded women and their children − including my youngest 'reader' Florence (daughter of blogger Charlotte at TeamStein Blog) − meant I finished this leg of the tour, which started back last May when the book first came out, feeling buoyed by the love and laughter I found in Belfast and back to my roots in Yorkshire.
We all suffer from self-doubt from time to time and in the run-up to the events, I was battling the pesky imposter syndrome (something I've written about widely), but getting out there and up on stage, sharing what I know and my highs and lows, reaffirmed that my voice does matter (as does yours) and boosted my morale. All of your comments on social media endlessly support me too, and serve to remind me that blogging isn't a one-way street. For those who thank me for my insight and honesty, I owe it back twice over. The online community, and the offline one here in Berkshire, keep the important conversations on parenting, body image and mental health going. Honesty is the key.
I'm also delighted as I've just won Best Baby and Parent Blog at the UK Blog Awards. Thank you to everyone who voted.
When it came to the holidays, my husband, Peter, was working, so the kids and I stayed put in Berkshire for playdates with besties and lazy days lapping up the gloriously gorgeous parks nearby: Windsor Great Park, Alexandra Gardens and Bachelors Acre (the latter's waterfalls set up for kids to play in were switched on earlier this year, much to the delight of my drenched boys).
The children have also become obsessed with drawing tutorials on YouTube and can be found creating mini masterpieces most days. I need to choose a few to frame now, and help them set up their own illustration business!
My eldest son, Oliver, nine, and I took part in a shoot with world-famous photographer Rankin to celebrate maternal love, with a book and exhibition to follow soon. Stacey Dooley, Maya Jama, Twiggy and others feature in the series so it was a real honour, and Oliver was proud as punch to see it in the press.
My boys also sung in the choir in St George's Chapel at Windsor Castle and also in the Eton College Chapel recently, and seeing them singing, so happy and confident, were incredibly proud moments for me. This town has stolen my heart since we moved here 20 months ago, and I can't imagine living anywhere else now.
