Award winning actress Lynda Bellingham is returning to her home town of Aylesbury in Buckinghamshire to star in Calendar Girls at the Waterside Theatre.

Appearing as Chris Harper, the character played by Helen Mirren in the film version, Lynda will be motivating the members of the Rylstone Womens Institute to pose naked for their now legendary charity calendar. Thats in November, but in the meantime she has an even more pressing task as she urges adults in Bucks to take part in Reactivates Give it a Go Week of sports and physical activities (many of which are free or subsidised) between September 26 and October 2. Lynda says: "Do give it a go. Think of it as doing something in aid of a good cause. With that good cause being you!"

You can enjoy some of the best of our countryside and help raise money for the Alzheimers Society by taking part in a Memory Walk this month. Launched by Lynda, they offer something for the whole family. As she says: "Memories are precious and even my mums illness with dementia could not take away my happy memories of time spent with her."

Head for the beautiful Wendover Woods on September 18 where there will be a short walk (suitable for wheelchairs and buggies) plus a longer 5k walk. For details contact Paula Kinsella on 07732 185329 or see www.reactivatebucks.org or www.memorywalk.org.
