Berkshire restaurateur and entrepreneur, Robert Walton, collected his MBE from Her Majesty the Queen in an investiture at Buckingham Palace. Robert, who is founder and owner of two restaurants around the Reading area, is also Chairman of the UK's Restaurant Association.

A well known personality in the hospitality Industry, Robert is a familiar figure at his restaurants - The Elm Tree at Beech Hill and the Tamarind Tree, just outside Pangbourne. He also co-owns Trunkwell Mansion House, with Corporate Leisure International, which he restored in 1990, turning it into a premier leisure, conference and events destination.
