Courtesy of Reading-based Information Resources Inc (IRI), The Warren Canoe Centre, home to 1st Reading YMCA Sea Scouts, enjoyed a mini-makeover recently. This is the first time IRI, a global provider of enterprise market information solutions and services, has become involved in a project organised by Connect Reading, the local business community partnership.

The project, involving cutting back overgrown foliage, painting the side of the club house and mowing the grass, was carried out by volunteers from IRI and Reading Youth Offending Service.

Mark Wilkinson, business unit director at IRI, said: "The challenge got the whole team working together in a different environment.
