Top quality children’s knitwear from Bonnie UK

We just had to introduce you to this wonderful crew: they are Army wives Lucy Bryant and Sally Douglas whose ‘kitchen table’ business at their Arborfield homes in Berkshire has grown into Bonnie UK, a superb selection of top quality children’s knitwear.
Between them the two ladies have seven children and it was the struggle to source UK-made traditional clothing – particularly for the boys – that led to them setting up their operation. Now their lambswool is processed in Yorkshire before manufacture into garments in the Scottish borders, supporting expert craftspeople in the skills they have used for hundreds of years.
The styles may be classic, but these clever ladies have made sure all the clothes are machine washable in cold water – plus importantly stay in shape – so us busy people and messy children have the best of both worlds.
And, of course, while suitable for everyone, we think this is a real find for those whose skin is prone to reacting to some manmade fabrics. They are so very soft, which means none of that ‘itchy and scratchy’ whining will be heard.
The colour range is excellent and whether you are shopping for ‘girly girls’ or rough and tumble lads there are choices for everyone from two to 14 years old or so. Expect to pay up to £45 for a beautifully made open neck polo, crew neck or hoodie, but bear in mind that these are perfectly made garments which will last and probably become hand-me-down family treasures.
