As owner Helen Masters says, Men in our area have pretty good taste in choosing lingerie they just dont always know the size or style their partner prefers! With this service, we can help people make the right choice and really brighten someones day!
Puddings customer research shows that the most common pitfalls are :
- buying the wrong size 70% of gifts that were exchanged were changed for a different size with men usually choosing a cup size that was too small (sometimes 2 or 3 sizes different!)
- buying the wrong style of bra 30% of women who exchanged their gift opted for a totally different style. But contrary to popular myth, most men got the colour right with black and cream being the most popular colours for men to buy, and luckily popular with women too.
- buying the wrong style of knickers 30% of Reading women prefer thongs, 25% briefs and 45% shorts so you need to know your knickers to get it right!
With Valentines day approaching, Pudding, who were runner up in the Uk Lingerie Retailer of the Year Awards 2011, have put together some handy tips for anyone planning to buy lingerie for a partner- plus they are now open 7 days a week so theres plenty of time to peruse the collection and make your perfect choice.

Puddings Top Tips for Valentines Gift Buying
1.Take a look at the bras in the laundry basket to find out her size the ones in her drawer may not be the ones that fit!
2. Think about the colours and styles she wears for example, if she only wears moulded or padded its best to avoid buying something sheer and vice versa many women prefer one type to the other. If she wears black and strong colours then dark underwear is a good choice. If shes a fan of paler colours its a good idea to get her a neutral colour like cream, pale pink or nude as it wont show under her clothes
3.Pay attention to the style of knickers she wears you dont need to know what the styles called, just be able to recognise it and well do the rest!
4.Dont be scared to take the plunge even when women come in to exchange gifts they always tell us how pleased they were that their partner made the effort and they often tell us that they showed their appreciation !
